Waterfowl and Upland Bird Hunting in Saskatchewan Canada
Experience the beauty of Saskatchewan, famously known as the “Land of Living Skies” for its breathtaking sunsets, stormy horizons, and northern lights. But beyond the natural wonders, the skies here are home to one of North America’s largest waterfowl populations. From the iconic V-formations of Canada geese to snow geese covering the fields like snow and the distinctive calls of sandhill cranes, Saskatchewan offers an unparalleled hunting experience.
As soon as the farmers begin their late-August harvest of wheat, barley, and peas, thousands of geese and ducks gather to feed before migrating south. Saskatchewan’s prairie hosts over ten species of ducks and multiple subspecies of Canada geese, including Giant Greaters, Cacklers, and Ross Geese, along with Sandhill Cranes in staggering numbers.
Hunting Seasons and Limits
The peak hunting season typically runs from September to October, but goose season extends into December. With high bag limits—8 dark geese, 20 white geese, 8 ducks, and 5 Sandhill Cranes daily—our hunting experience is second to none. Here you’ll have the chance to hunt multiple species in one trip, ensuring a thrilling experience for seasoned and novice hunters alike.
