Salta Argentina Dove and Pigeon shooting is and incredible experience. Large amounts of wheat, sorghum, soybeans, corn and peanut fields make this a top destination for high volume doves and pigeons. The scouts are constantly scouting throughout the valley in search of the dove flyways to offer you the most incredible dove shooting you will ever experience. The dove season runs year round. The pigeon shooting runs May to August with a bird bag hunting limit of 200 per hunter per day.
Typically, you will have breakfast at 7:00 am each morning, with departure to the fields at 8:00 am. The drive is usually around thirty minutes. When you arrive at the field, your bird boy will be awaiting you with your blind set up, guns ready and cold drinks available.
If you are a well-seasoned shooter, it will be no problem to have a sore shoulder at the end of the day. There are numerous options allowing a different shoot each day.
After the morning shoot, the group will move to a close by shaded area for lunch in the field. This will be world-class argentine asado (bbq), offering incredible wonderful argentine beef, chorizo sausages, chicken, dove-breast from the morning shoot, fresh baked breads, salads and beer or wine. Cots and hammocks are ready after lunch for a quick siesta (nap) before resuming the afternoon shoot.
The Lodge
The renovated and revamped spacious 20,000 sq. ft. the Lodge was built in 2007 to provide the best cast & blast experience in your lifetime, very near the dove hunts. We offer ten Comfortable suites with private bathrooms and air conditioning. We have a vast and ample comfortable living room with a huge fireplace for relaxing after the shooting. There are also massage rooms, a sauna and many other amenities to make sure your stay with us is everything you would expect.
The lodge also offers indoor and outdoor open bars, a comfortable fire pit in the yard, and delicious gourmet appetizers.

The lodge sits on a private ranch comprising 16,000 acres in the incredible Anta Valley in Salta Province. Situated between the towns of Las Lajitas and Joaquin V. González, The lodge is a short drive to the natural roost and fields where more than 100 million eared doves. The climate is dry and warm most of the year, with December and January being the warmest months. The dove population is incredible from March to November, with May, June and July having the best opportunity during the Harvest. It is common to see more than two million doves in the air at the same time! July is also the time of the peanut harvest, when the pigeons are plentiful as well.
The lodge is a two-hour drive from Salta airport, and offers many different species of wildlife. It is very common to see pumas, hogs, coues deer, and wild emu. Charata, toucan, numerous species of ducks and the beautifully colored loro parrots are a daily sighting at lodge and the surrounding areas.
The lodge is located 2 hours from Salta, in northwest Argentina. In fact, it is Argentina’s closest-to-the-USA hunting lodge, 1h25min shorter flight than Cordoba, and 2 hours shorter way than Buenos Aires.
Avoid the hassle of unnecessary flying south to go through Buenos Aires’s two crowded airports (Ezeiza International and Aeroparque Domestic, which are 1-hour distant one another) only to have to bounce back and fly back up north again 2 extra hours to finally reach Salta.
